Lost

Lost

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

For a while

I want to leave

my soul has grown

heavy with

artificial additives

my eyes need soothing

with moon mix,

with cosmic concoction

my ears need to calm

with nature’s breath and beat

my mind to clear

with morning mist

and falling rain

I want to leave

Believe me,

It’s not you I’ve lost

It’s me I want to find

I wonder if we are ever found though or if at some point its just an excuse as one never stops growing and one never ceases to be where they are. It is always a fight to keep the self when love or struggles of daily life are always among us. To run away and lose the responsibility, to stay and realize I am me and no one will contain that but me... Maybe its the epiphany of leaving to realize we never needed to leave....lalala tangent moment :) I really enjoy your style of writing....

- beautifully written - soulful and melancholic - sometimes - i think - the loss of someone - is a loss of a part of oneself too - reclamation - is the toughest part of it all - the permanence of loss - scares everyone except the saints -

Clever. I love the idea that the I is the missing one, like they've lost themselves.

Well written, reminds me of that feeling of wanting my precious down time, no input please, just quiet!

This is a honest poem and sometimes when we get back to nature and away from all the stress in life we find part of our self that has been lost and left behind. When returning we feel renewed and are better for taking the leave. Great poem expressing this and the words flow smoothly.

Ohhhh yes yes yes! Now, this was on point. This is truly a great work. Means a lot, too. Reminds me. Reminds me of very much.

. between some people ... that's a timeout that's needed ... between others ... it could mean a disastrous end ... brilliantly written ... can be interpreted either way ...
