Callous or Coy

Callous or Coy

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

Callous or coy

the cause leads much

to the same effect

Dare this devil to the dance

or wisely walk away

Don’t tease the air if you fear the fire

Don’t ripple the waters if you fear the flood

Coy, callous

I care not for the effect

. haha! ... you're much too smart ... unleashing wisdom at 199 miles an hour, eh? ... not many people know this, ya know ... and fewer still get it ... delighted by this delightful surprise ...

Why does this sound like me and my flirtatious defect? Men in my workplace accuse me of being coy--silently teasing them with reservedness, and I guess... I do. And I guess it is... callous... to impassively and uncaringly tease ones with such intentional pretense of modesty and not care what it is doing to them. I need time to reflect now.

I have so often been accused of being coy, I never thought that callous is so similar

thanks for making me think
