Love is Too Proud

Love is Too Proud

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

Adapted from a longer poem in Arabic I wrote on our first night.

"

Tell me,
No!
Command me.
Should I burn like a candle
so you can tip-toe
timidly towards tonight?

My pride has no shame to beg,
and Love is too proud for shame.

So I await,
in humble surrender to love
and patiently wait,
for love,
to make love
to love

Oh, this is truly like Romeo and Juliet.....so much love, tenderness, woven midst the special care you had for your new bride, respect for the loving adventure that you were ready and willing to embark upon!
Such a rare bit of intimate emotion in this.......just lovely! And, what a true gentlemen to think as such! I admire your devotions!!
