Poor Marvin

Poor Marvin

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

Poor Marvin,
He was ninety three years old.
Slowly, he froze in bitter cold.
I guess his neighbors were busy
                            singing a silly song.
in a world that has gone so wrong
               Poor Marvin died
                       and sweet angels cried,
                                  while you were pampering egos
   proud of your loud sing-along,
             poor Marvin died.

Yes, a terrible thing, and all alone, no helping hand, as if he didn't exist, and life goes on. thank you for your poem, good write. God Bless

What a world we live in! Electricity turned off in a "flash", people freeze to death, without notice, without care!
It is indeed a tragedy of the dead amongst the living!
You have a kind heart to make note of it. Many will see the news, and sigh, "Oh Well!", and move on.
I have written a poem called foragers that speaks of this. I must rewrite it, and post it...you made me think of it in the archives.
