This Pen Bleeds

This Pen Bleeds

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

This humble pen
                     bleeds tonight,
                                      on a forsaken page.
In a story of human plight,
                            and
                            not so uncommon carnage.
It bleeds the wounds of flowers
                               that have not yet bloomed.
Little children of 1, 2, 3,
                          maybe 4,
                                           or maybe more.
In Sirilanka, Iraq, Gaza, and Darfur.
         and more, so MUCH MORE.

Surely,
                                     “humanity’s” doomed.

What for?
For an old psycho's dream?
           I scream.
                                                              What for?

                            This humble pen bleeds.

Reading... tears fall as I read blood stains left by a friends pen....

My heart and your pen bleed at the same time...yet we are helpless to stop the insanity.

Whether or not we pull out of iraq...there will still be bloodshed in the name of religion, greed, power or hate in the region and elsewhere in the world.

It was ever thus...and doubtless will always be in the future!

When will mankind ever learn!!!!!!

This is amazing.
You've managed to create a beautiful poem while talking about such a serious issue in today's world.
Such an excellent write.

A well done viewpoint on the calamities of the world. My pen bleeds for all those who do nothing. Though they have the power of the pen

This was so passionate and such a splendid way to describe the calamity that is going on. All we can hope for is that change will come soon and stop all of this pain. "This humble pen bleeds tonight on a forsaken page.In a story of human plight, and not so uncommon carnage." My favorite lines.
Really wonderful write.

This made me sad. It is horrible to see, that humanity didn't learn anything, and so we are hoping that those we make our leaders know what's to do, I heard, Obama will establish contact with hamas through agents. I really hope, he can change something. A poem of awareness.. full of perplaxed state of elementary and undifferentiated consciousness...

You ask what for my friend..its out of greed my friend ..out of so much hatred..the feeling of superiority over other ..the same old thing the same old delusions..they still live as if hundreds years ago and act that way..
you are nothing-they say- but i am everything ..i am the rich ..the powerful..the most armed on this earth so i rule ..i lead,i destroy just like i wish ,i conquer..i take..everything you have is mine..i own the world ..its mine
what i like ..i own everything..you are not to breathe without my permission..you are not to live if i do not say so..but if you die then good riddance..one dog less..oh yes i may sound harsh but i swear its but very little of whats going on..if you dont like what i say..i can wipe you from the face of the earth..for i have power ..I am God ..did not you know..there is no other God
