Wisdom

Wisdom

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

For Pagemasters Challenge #11- With apologies to William Shakespeare

"

“Wisely and slow, they stumble that run fast”
Words written by wise Shakespeare, Will
But, life’s lessons I learned, hard at times
And ran I did, though oft against my will

Part knowledge gained with each mistake
With each stumble and with every fall
A bumpy journey, my life has been, but
With beauty that did my mind enthrall

And still I run in spite of my years
Despite knowledge I thought attained
Wisdom seems needy of more running
More stumbles till wisdom is obtained

He was a wise tricky writer that bard, and never for a moment gloated in it. Nice write =)

And wise still thus wiser thus we err, and thank'd we be
For cobbled roads strewn and sown and lined with tree,
Gale upon buff and precipice from whence we clamber'd
O'er and bound for quiet rest against brook and riviere
profound, all made with haste or tortoise pace renowned.

. wow ... absolutely wise and profound ... amazingly magical deployment of the word "stumble" ... and the thought of "wisdom" being "needy" is mind-blowing ... your sonata is awesome ...

This is definitely a solidly written piece. I can see why the group features it. This is clear writing that speaks to us all on many levels.

The talent here at the Cafe astounds me sometimes. This piece is a prime example! Nicely done.

Well done. Street smart will help. "Wisdom is not finally tested in the schools. Wisdom cannot be passed
from one to another not having it. Wisdom is of the Soul, is not susceptible of proof, is it's own proof.( from Walt Whitman) God Bless.

This gives us a glimpse of the way we may take words from a Master Poet, and interpret and apply to our own style of writing, as well as give a take on the way we interpret such words!
I am glad to see it highlighted here, or I might have missed this write of wisdom!
Yes, we shall always be in pursuit of that called "wisdom", though we think we have it, a bit of life comes
hurling down at us, and we must once again, seek a way to gain more insight to handle these unexpected happenings!
Well done, and worthy of being featured as part of The Pagemaster's Group!

Faaaaantastic! No apologies needed to the great bard himself---I think he would have enjoyed it.
