Tonight (My Exodus Ends)

Tonight (My Exodus Ends)

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

Strum gently, sweet love
On the strings of my heart
Play Cupid’s cunning tunes
With Kama’s crafty art

Serenade me subtle songs
Whisper to my longing ears
Let love live this moment
Forget tomorrow and yesteryears

Tonight, my exodus ends
At the gates of Eden I stand
And bow in humble gratitude
As I enter my promised land

I loved it. It was exciting and romantic. The words, "Gates of Eden" caught my attention. I love the Bible, and the Garden of Eden was and still is a beautiful place.

Let me guess: It has been written as a farewell...
Although, I like it... truly...

:) I think this would be even more beautiful with a strumming guitar playing along with it (or perhaps a lyre). A couple of questions though, did you mean Karma? If not, what is Kama?

...what an intimate write...subtle with a delicate hand leading the pathway to paradise! there are two ways to view this poem...I believe I'll take that of intimacy this time!

When we shall stand at the gate of Eden, ready to enter The Promised Land, what majesty we shall see. As we each make our exodus of life, we shall each experience different pathways of emotion, yet we shall all have the opportunity to stand at the gate of Eden, with the memory of Cupid's cunning tunes sounding in winds of the past!
Beautiful!!
