ABC Requests

A humble attempt, written for the Alphabet Soup contest.

 

Zest my recipe with your exotic essence

Yarn me the cord of your fine quintessence

 

X-ray my heart and record my love

With you I found blissful heaven above

 

Veer from worries, leave concerns behind

Untangle the knots of my complex mind

 

Talk to me in a language unspoken before

Serenade my waves to your harbor and shore

 

Relish your want on my willing surrender

Quiet with tenderness my rolling thunder

 

Paint on my soul the colors of your dreams

Open your gates to love’s flowing streams

 

Nurture the child within this old man

Make love with me where love began

 

Lose your self with me in love’s freefall

Kiss wildly the songs of its passionate call

 

Just be free from chains and frames

Ignite with your desires all my flames

 

Hold my heart, be kind and fair

Gently embrace it with love and care

 

Forget the sorrows of days gone by

Erase the sadness sitting in your eye

 

Dive deep with me in this wild ocean

Climb high together the highest emotion

 

Bare your defenses and let my love in

Abandon misconceptions of the “Original Sin”
