Sadness Looms

Sadness Looms

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

A Triolet ABa AabAB

"

Gray sadness on mankind looms
And forsaken peace ponders its fate
A flower fading before it blooms

Gray sadness on mankind looms

Love left to burn out ; ashes and fumes
Greed and hunger; horrid war and hate

Gray sadness on mankind looms
And forsaken peace ponders its fate

Dear Wondering Mind,

A harsh and accurate condemnation of Man's failings. Why, oh why, do we let anger and fear dominate our doings? Through this poem I feal the pain and the desperate longing for change. It is a recognition of our petty impulses.

Well penned, my friend!

Best regards,

Rick
