Perchance

Perchance

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

My goodbye

"

Though fate forced fortune to falter
And forever’s fire fade and subdue

Perchance past promise now departed
Breathes love’s lilies and lives anew

Though now your supple heart, it sways
To sweet serenades of someone new

No heavy hatred burdens my heart
And with well wishes I say adieu

May your meadows be forever green
Ardent sun shines your skies blue

May your spirit for always dance with joy
And true love your heart accrue

Very beautiful and positive. Good-byes are sometimes not so easy, but ironically this one does very well in saying I love you but I quess it wasn't supposed to be and I wish you the best.

The imagery is outstanding.
"May your meadows be forever green
Ardent sun shines your skies blue"

As well as the all the metaphors within in the prose. Speaks true to the heart and relatable in every way that is natural and acceptable.

What a great way to say goodbye. I love the sweet rocking of the words. Very expressive and still shows great love for the one leaving. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This is beautiful...The alliteration is perfect .
It makes the poem flow with such beauty carrying
the sound like soft sigh in the breeze, sigh~
The emotion is present from beginning to end making this
such a breathtaking piece...I love it
