I’d rather befriend black-tips
and dance the deep
or
howl a full-moon song and long
with wolves

you see 

nature in its nature
does not betray or deceive

Not sure most of us have ever truly loved anyone, or have been truly loved.
We're involved in extended hook-ups, drawn-out infatuations, unadulterated lust fests and long-term house-playing. These experiences do familiarize us with copious amounts of both deceit and betrayal. What makes us expect better?
Folks gotta stay open to the possibility that something more closely approaching love is attainable.
I do agree that Nature's ways are, generally, much purer than most human interactions; the question is, are modern, urbanized, overly domesticated humans behaving like their natural selves, anymore?
