You Were Not the Shooter

You Were Not the Shooter

A Poem by Pepper
"

Orlando vent

"
You were not the shooter.
Your trigger sensitivity was not so high
That your
Pulse
Could fire the gun.
You were not the shooter
But their existence disgusts you to your core.
You see a child in public,
With his father on his left
And his other dad on the right
And you cringe
Turn your own daughter away because
"It's sinful, sweetheart."
You were not the shooter
But you told your children that
People like that were not people at all
That man loves woman
Woman loves man
And that is the only way to be because
Your word is law, d****t
And you shall not be disappointed.
You were not the shooter.
No, you weren't the shooter
But you were the support.
You were the encouragement,
The call to action.
You were not the shooter,
You were the bullets.
