Change of Heart (past to present)

My life just seems to stop
As i watch everyone fade away
I made my own path
Now I must walk it

I can't change my past
No matter how much I wish
No matter how hard I fight
I have to find my own way

I am my own
No one else may tell me where to roam
These paths beaten and scared
Finally realizing how much pain i've caused

My skin covered in my past
Sweet crimson remains
It tempts me with its sweet words
But I must change

I stare at the skies
And watch everything change
The stars are no longer who i believed
My beloved night now filled with horrors

A helpful paw held out for me
It keeps me above my crimson love
everything becomes clear
You are my home

I slowely fade away
I must make my own path
I must let go of these memories
And look only to the future.

Haven't posted anything for awhile im going to be getting it all up soon. But heres a poem i wrote today before my bf came home its about a few people in my life including my brother and kodie ^^
