The Good of my Person

The Good of my Person

A Poem by wolfshrew

super heroes
licking little lollies
off my knees,
they are bloody
hear em' scream
take em' out
for an ice cream,
graciously.

held my hand,
watch a man
take the law
within his hands,
madly.

and I stride
in the sky
for the sake of myself
and I die
mid-stride
in the lake for myself,
selfishly.

I am a sacrifice,
at night
sparkled in the mud
of a lady's bra
ripped off
during a crime so sad,
I cried,
secretly.

if I could
I would be brave,
I'd rip my body pieces out
to save
the tiny animal,
bleeding on the freeway,
wildly.

there has got to be
another way,
to be a good person,
easily.

very slowly, from here...the world is larger than our bodies that tire in the rain of tears...we may be fodder now, and ultimately we will be, but now we answer to no one but ourselves...and therein is your strength
