Did you ever think about the day the masked people came?
They danced away a humming breath with heaving on my chest.
Searching,
Toyed,
And Lovely
Consuming silky minds; A time when I was unable to see.
Chicken pocked from vile disease,
it rots my skin and screams in me.
But the beauty kept its footing right,
and sheltered me on full moon nights.
I soaped myself in hope for sight,
a crazed eye of moisture;
I plunged on.
My jumping body jostled too long.
For so much of the candle's burn
I let myself hover over,
Till the redness took my skin away.
It wasn't until I passed away
that I was swallowed up by dread.
Consume my body,
Chilled on ice,
Decomposition's fun behead.
I took some time to puzzle
My closure
And reach for
Goodbyes that were forever stored.
Each and every look I gave
turned into broken glass from hammers.
Slurpped like soup
So scorching
And painful on my tongue
Where the nervous energy
Swelled with lies on your dew soaked skin.
There was so much nervous energy.
