Reflection

Reflection

A Poem by Midnight Wolf

Drifting through an endless forest

A flash has caught your eye

You waltz around to search your path

For a lake you recently passed by

As you gaze upon the ripples

The little fish scurrying on

You catch a glimpse,

A familiar sight

Of something so far gone

For the being you see staring

Leaning in toward you

Is not the one you know

Who woulda thought

That by a mere reflection

Your faults would manifest

In such a hellish glow

The parallel image standing before you

The shear sign of your fate

Withers to ripples as you splash the water

Turning away and wielding tears of hate

A poem about self-reflection; simply beautiful. What else could i say. there is not much figures of speech but its the imagery thet makes it special.
