One Against All

One Against All

A Poem by Mr. Lou

A journey on a fresh road is always exciting,
leaving home to embrace the world hidden,
looking with sharp eyes the jewels to be found,
and hope to find what you foretell.

I am a fool.

My home is something i never understood,
nor was anything i could feel warm in,
to hide in when black clouds came.

I left with no regret nor spark of doubt,
ready to leave the poisons and odor,
that killed me with slow pains,
not caring for aught what i left behind.

I discover with dismay,
I traveled from world to world,
only to see i only took a few steps.
finding myself within the same hole.

No sun lies here as well.
Only deserts that burn my sight and feet,
wrapping my heart with old feelings,
I am soon to rot beyond any sign of life.

My pains have followed me here,
and new enemies hunger for my death.
I look for catharsis,
they look to melt me,
shaping me into what they need.

Throw me ties and new philosophy,
I will tie the noose before you touch me!
I will burn myself before you melt me!
I will die before you ever change me!

I love this. The 5th stanza blew me away when you tossed in reality. The concept is amazing, I really feel as if you just wrote my life on here. Wonderful piece.
