man

man

A Poem by wolf68

like the ever changing seasons
we too must change
like the old trees
we too must grow

from age to to height
from now to old
from love and pain
from life and death

the human race is strong
the human race is smart
we learn to survive
even when most cannot

we clam to rule the land sea and air
we clam to learn from our mistakes
but it is the innocents of the clams
that makes man who they are

man is as tough as the old rock mountains
as old as the ocean
as wise as the wind
as fierce as the fire

we may not have the sharp teeth of the wolf
we may not have to tough fur of the bear
we may not have the wings of the eagle
we may not have gills like a fish

but man has  weapons like the wolves teeth
man has armor like the bears fur
man has machines like the wings of the eagle
and man have ways to swim like the fish
