Contrast

Contrast

A Poem by Wendy Karasin

White clouds move across
the blue sky, the green grass.
What we need to know,
simple, uniformity.
Nectar, sweet and saucy
unstable, imperfect.
Breezy messages in
wavelike motion, of
ripples windblown.
Birds fly free above the
concrete highway.
Silver hued reflection.
Their thoughts are with
Jonathan.
My thoughts are
with them.
