Incessant Call

Incessant Call

A Poem by Wendy Karasin
"

An ode to life, love and poetry.

"
Poetry, oh poetry
the beauty of your song
is sung in endless measure
in meter short and long

What is it of your nature
that pulls in humans all
To tell you of our story
with deep and longing call

It's not for love unspoken
or races never won
that causes endless sorrow
with skin burned by the sun

it is instead the wonder
the dancing feet of small
surrounding us in kisses
and love's incessant call

Very human piece about feelings, happy ones, thanks for stopping by.
What an interesting take on what draws us to poetry, I like the flow/rhythm of this piece.
