Graceful Dancer

Graceful Dancer

A Poem by Wendy Karasin

Exquisite doctrines, falsely fearing
Soothing effects of expression
Contradiction, Confusion, Shame
Whirling entrapment
Perceived prison of freedom
Another self I do not know
Heavy and cumbersome
Weighted down
Willfully forgetting the
Feet upon which to walk
And in time
Dance gracefully.
