Tick TockA Poem by wizzawizTick-tick-tock " my time down the drain, Same old mistakes made again and again The twists and the turns that invert my existence; Keep forgetting to practice that thing called resistance. Am I still such a fool, after so many times? Now I’m bitter and twisted like a bar-full of limes, As you’re taking from me any sense of control, Getting under my radar without serving parole; Leaving me here in confusion once more But always leaving your foot in the door. One day I’ll slam it shut. © 2011 wizzawiz |
