''The Heartbreak Kid''

''The Heartbreak Kid''

A Poem by Tevin Smith

Here I stand in the rain
hoping it will wash the pain
    of a heartbreak kid which
  so many (girls) have claim.

Plugging my earphones in my ears
for my I pod trying to drown the sound,
trying to unlock my heart that's bound
trying to find peace for my heart a new found.

Why does this always happen to me?
I find true love and my heart gets broken
it's searched for, torn up and soared
  so I'm left unspoken.

I guess I'll have to stop loving,
wait till i'm old and withering
  then I'll find true love.

    But asking the question,
why me? who me? yes me or you
from me to you the heartbreak kid
  feeling so blue.

                                                                                                Tevin Smith
