Humane

Humane

A Poem by Witty Fay

The vicious kind

Keep house safe

Knitting a shield

Of malice

Around sharp edges.

The gentle

Revere their throbbing core

To the devil within.

Both vile and domesticated

Breathe their meek oddity

At the feet

Of the mighty self.

Deliverance lies in transgression.
