i will not write beautiful poetryA Poem by Mel Carringtonfor a belovedi will not write beautiful poetry about the essence of you i will not write about the breadth and depth of your eyes,
nor the kindness that you hold no, words that write love songs and build love poems of some
digestible substance are better saved for more concise use you, I cannot write about you because I scoff at sweetly written affections, those tacky
metaphors and junctions praising the mind and body of a beloved in relentless
cascades of clichés even Dickens himself would grimace and squirm at the amount
of mush and gush some spout day in and day out give me words of
sincerity and i will say them give me a smile and i will soar higher than a thousand words
can take me laugh, and you have given me a world that I cannot explain
or define in mere words i will not write beautiful poetry about the essence of you because for me, there are only three words i can give to you © 2014 Mel CarringtonReviews
