bone white piano keys

bone white piano keys

A Poem by Colleen Margot Lee

Speckled amnosity trying hard to hide
the hatred, the burning, the searing inside
windowed eyes, open your soul
let it float
as it transcends
or decesends
further, faster- than before
in this tragic pouring
anti-heros lost glory
with scared fingers
and forgotten breath
always inconsistent
always arrogant step
lonely, cold
with but none to hold
or hear this anguished sorrow
of his forgotten tomorrow
of dying- wasted trying
of all else lying
when truth is begging to be sought
wings folded carefully
up with hidden pain
showing piano keys of nothing remain
flapping beautiful melodies
of heart breaking remidoies
he can cure you all
if with him you fall
with his singing voice
if diasterous ruin weeping emptiness
that will never seem to end
eyes stuck open afraid to close
one instant standing no longer knows
ragged, torn, flesh of papyrus paper
reading thousands of stories long forgotten
with the burning pathways of battles
let it come
as it will see
what is meant to be
knowing, remembering
in this infectious state
no longer hope to recreate
the haven once embraced
glass eyes of golden fire
captured with beauty no longer invisioned
tears shed to life
into a gloom filled abyss
reminding us of
what we will miss
