Biting from the inside

Biting from the inside

A Poem by Colleen Margot Lee

anything but this emptyness,

sufficing
taking it
happiness,

the drug of all confusion
blaring in every direction
no longer an empty shell
of forgotten medicore
melodramtic
waiting for the day to,

end,

for it to begin
this feeling
of wanting-
being wanted.

I am yours
as you say
nothing
matters
in this world

better than anti

REAL THING

inside of biting the insides
making me feel nothing but numbness
and nothing
i mean nothing
i scream in glee
and happiness
you are delicious
waiting for the simple words
of a hello
nothing
can keep this
from happening

You have the power to capture thoughts so vividly on the page (or screen), creating an inner world of conflict and contrast that washes over the reader like soft waves... It is as if we are taken inside the mind of the writer. Brilliant...
