let down

let down

A Poem by Colleen Margot Lee
"

it just depends on how far down it cuts

"
everyone one is a let down
gloved hands shaking in the cold
of the nocteral bitter night
water
burning with icy glee
phone open, electric
buzzing,
burning with rage
pencil scribbles
and crossed out lines
defining feelings pushed away
with painted nails
chipped and broken
alone
the wind whispers
chilly secerts in your ear

Somber, secret, and soft, words turned on end like leaves in the wind... You echo the wind of winter, dancing in chilled air, caressing our minds with numbing cold... I feel sadness...
