The Girl I Left Behind

The Girl I Left Behind

A by witchiekatez
"

My friend requested me to write a composition for their band so this is what i ended up. Hopefully they love it.

"

Walking down the street
With nothing else to see
The days gone by so fast
Turning me’ head like s**t
Today I see you once again
Unaccompanied once more
Thought my feet will chase you back
But chances are derisive

Ref.

Now here we are
Alone in togetherness
Trying to ease each pain
Brought by the other
But even a home
Won't tie us together
When our hearts live alone
And bittersweet memoirs lingers

Chorus:

I know I used to use you
Like you are just for show
I know I don’t love you
But I never let you go
And now the days gone mad
And each moment seems to miss
The girl I used to use
Is the girl I love the most

Still, I can see you
Despite those flossy clouds
They almost looked like you
Weeping tirelessly for me
Now I hate to imagine
How fate twisted me
Coz’ now I am crying
Just as tears fall down your face

(Repeat Ref. then Chorus)

Bridge:

You, me,
We then,
We are here.
You had so much pain
And I had so much to say
Smiles are worn and out of tune
Only bruise, cruise, and not in tune.

I dont want to be the proverbial pain in the arse but it does not feel like it flows. Its like one of those things that get caught in your throat and tumble out all disoriented and confused. The imagry is good but personally not something that would catch my eye. Just remember though, before I ruffle your creative feathers, opinions are like farts...everyone has one..got it? Keep writing. See what more you can hatch.
