Come Walk With Me (Rev)

Come Walk With Me (Rev)

A Poem by Dean Allen Choate (aka D. A. Choate)

Come Walk With Me

Come walk with me down long and winding roads
Tree lined paths and down trails unknown
Come walk with me and hold my hand
Walk with me along a beach in sea soaked sand

Hear my soft and gentle whisper in your ear
A hushed breath, a gentle tear
Hear the song of the mourning doves
Hear my heartfelt cries of deep love

Please tell me of your wildest dreams
All the things that you’ve never seen
Tell me about our life to come
Tell me of our life as we become one

Name the things you hold most dear
The wants, desires that you hold so near
Name the places you want us to go
Name to me your deepest woe

Write to me of our love so wonderful and sweet
From your heart dig down so very deep
Write to me a love song I will know
Write to me a poem in sweet sweet prose

Hold me close to you and don’t ever let go
Your love is what I truly do want to know
Hold my heart deeply within yours dear
Hold me now, pull me close and so very near

Feel me now our bodies very much entwined
Two people become as one, a single mind
Feel my body, play with my mind and taste my soul
Feel all the love we have that makes us both whole
