Dance Under the Stars

Dance Under the Stars

A Poem by wishystar

Leaping and gliding,
prancing and twirling
dancing under the stars.

The moon is glowing
stars are glittering,
but still we twirl on.

The dance, with steps so light
you'll feel like you're asleep
like everything is just a dream.

I watch, eyes widening
at the shining butterfly wings
vibrant violet, blue, pink.

Soon you enchant me
soon I'm swept away
and now I join the dance
the dance under the stars.

These are beautiful words. We do feel the movements of a dance in the way you built the structure of your poem, well done !

Thank you. I was picturing a fairy-like girl with butterfly wings twirling around as I wrote.
