The Fish's CoinsA Story by wishystar
Once in a small silvery pond lived a fish. A very simple yet beautiful fish indeed- it had rainbow scales and golden fins. Each and every day, there were people who thought that if you threw a coin into the fish's mouth, you'd be lucky. So every day the fish would catch at least one coin in it's mouth.
Now beside that river lived a very, very old man. No one knew how old he was, but everyone said he was as old as dirt. Each day he'd go "fishing". He would sit by the river, catch a fish, take something out of it's mouth, and plop it back into the water. Each day at least one person saw this happen, but what the man took out they had no idea. The fish and the man were actually brother and sister. A wizard, very long ago, had turned the man's sister into a fish, when the man did not like the sister. So the man was granted immortality and the sister was a fish. Each day, the sister would bring up to 10 coins of different values to the brother. Each day in return, the brother gave the sister freedom and food. No one knew about this, no one at all. No one did, but what everyone knew was that there was a special secret behind the fish, the man, and the coins.
