eye contact

eye contact

A Poem by Carlos Ochoa

Touching yet unnatainable
Lightning of Zues to the Lusts of Venus
You adore its power; standing in cower
Yet you articulate its love to equal the hour
Infatuating desire and Indefinitely dire
Your Senses want
Eye
Contact
An ambiguous forest river
With moonlit shadows casted through trees
The hands of the branches hold the darkness
Your Senses praise
Eye
Contact
Contrarily, a midsummer's church, the crucifixion of darkness
Let light shine through the colorful windows
Let it encase your thoughts and rigor you with shivers
Enough to sweep you off your feet
Let it kill me sweetly as long as our eyes shall meet
Your Senses yearn for
Eye
Contact
