Only You

Only You

A Poem by winterdream

Give me your hand
and I'll forfeit a ring.
lost in your eyes and playful smile
your body had a song to sing.

Searching for the word to fit
the feeling at me, you shove
An area between need and want
the masses call it love.

Time stood idly by
fixated on how we danced
I risked it all on you
my life forever chanced

I needed only you
so I pulled out the ring
and all at once I saw
the face that would never sing.
