Restless

Restless

A Poem by Jeannine Winklaar

The longing for peace sends me
off on a journey to a far and distant
land, where flowers bloom and birds
sing, whenever you close your eyes

I close my eyes and listen to
sounds that only make me wheep
I open them back again and
see you comming up the hill

What strange awareness of the
brain what sence of being free
a place that makes you long
for more than mere tranquility

And when I'm back I'll search
for you and find you I sure will
for in my heart there has always
been only place for you my dear

"Wheep" ? "Sence" ? "Comming" ? Flaws detract from what came across as a thought-full piece of work
