burning down the house

burning down the house

A Poem by windtalker1252

Entered home after a long days work
Just to find that the house is on fire
Stood at da door like a dork
Stunned like I just bit a live wire
Hopeing that it was just a dream
Then I heard the fireman in my head sream
Picked a few buckets of water and put the fire out
Followed the drill as they tried to teach me as a scout
God knows who came up with"smoking is injirioius to health"
I say repalce the health with wealth
Post damage assesment I realize
I on the things lost I can not put a price
One goes through ups and downs in life
But this is a bloody deep sea dive
Without o2 how do I survive
Hell with everything I do know how to swim
So now I'm going back to redoing the den
