Sorry Dad I lied

For all the lies I told you

I lied

I never tried

 

Never tried to make you happy

Frogot who is the daddy

 

Trying to live my dreams

I forgot how you put up with me during my teens

 

Occasion after one

The things that I could have done

I built a wall and spoke to none

 

Protected me from the rain

Kept me away from the insane

And after all this I just gave you pain

 

Sorry dad

I will now try

Not make you cry

And try not to

Lie

One only needs to be honest to to the inner self...perhaps there may not have been the right guidance which parents are duty bound to perform...caught in own profession and commitments... realization itself is a huge step.I am sure ur dad must have shed many a tears to read this .
