Patience

Patience

Patience

Laughing behind sad eyes

Keeping your enemies close in disguise

Tolerating people to the point of exploding

Untrusting of those who resist thinking

Some ne’er say a word of sense

Most mindlessly wonder in total compliance

I attempt to calm my soul

Heed its voice for life’s unexpected role

Wanting not to hear the endless blather

It creeps in like uncontrollable weather

Words raining out to any who’ll listen

Threat less words nothing ever seems to happen

Day in day out nothing ever seems to change

Looking about, people are quite strange

Idiots, whiners just go away

Quiet I remain with nothing to say

Time for my departure quickens, so I stay in the flow

This place and all its people blow

So I bide my time and wait

Learning because that’s the way it goes, fate
