Always Did

Always Did

Always Did

I always did want to be like you

Now my family is tearing itself apart, I am blue

I always did want to fly in the big blue sky

Only now that dream has been shattered, I cry

I always did want many friends

I never seem to follow the trends

I always did want to travel in deep space

This may not be attained or so is the case

I always did want to be an adult

Wow, never mind my fault

I always did attempt to follow your footsteps

I then realized I want to be me, you have enough bumps

I always did try to get you back

But I am the one who has to deal with the flak

I always did, I always did, and I always did

What a smart mouth kid

I always do try to win all arguments

Why lose to receive unfair punishments

I always will try to have an exciting life

Doing all I can and loving my wife
