Lost Love

By Windstorm Kells©2002

You broke my heart

But still I try

Questions asked and never answered

Opening myself up like an ancient grimore

To be flung about without care

The words void of any meaning

The choices given and picked

But nothing seen, nothing gained

Words of honor broken without trust

Meaningless promises

Wasted of thoughts of love

Why must I endure this torment?

Sending each other letters which was a daily thing

Then like the sun when it sets they began to fade

Until not a single letter has come in sometime

Tho’ I’ve never seen you face to face

I loved you all the same

I wish it was like it used to be

Always I wanted us to be one

Like air and fire working together

But sometimes it’s best to throw the towel in

Glancing back, I wouldn’t change a bit

You’re wonderful and time well spent

So merry meet and merry part and merry meet again
