Hawk’s Feast

Hawk’s Feast

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Hawk’s Feast

A soaring hawk screeches

Tiny ears it reaches

Gliding in solemn deosil circles

Searching for meager vittles

So proud and majestic

Up high, yet, frantic

Searching to feed its young

WATCH OUT! Hit by dung

Sailing over the domain

Diving strike tried in vain

Unsuspecting mouse off the ground

Yet, silent without a sound

Gaining the sky

A triumphant cry

Flying to the setting sun

Small animals know to run
