Lost and Found

Searching, seeking

Memories clouded

Snakes eyes peering from within

Youthful smiles fading

Uncertainty cascading

            An idle find

Wrapped with care

            Sitting unused

Captivity of a golden heart

Mozart, a dog long dead

The package inspires

Six of spears

            A face shown

                        Green and gold

                                    Celtic knots

                        Dragon triskles

Horrified of life’s questions

Curiosities forgotten

Stealing the breath from the heart

            Why me?

                        Why now?

                                    Why this?

Interpretations rule all

A nameless number the true question
