The Otherworld

The Otherworld

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

The Otherworld

By Windstorm Kells©2001

A place of infinite summer

Where spry souls are ageless

Drifting retrograde within time

Until the instant of rebirth

Generations of ancestry enjoying nature

Swimming beneath a warm sun

Roam the cool verdant forests wide

Without mind of splinter or thorn

Ill feelings are taboo

Sorrow is non-existent

Depression a forbidden fruit

Anger a mythical beast

Wings take to a brilliant sky

Possibilities soar

Thru soft melody of the trees

Whispered love, a crystal stream

Honor thy deed of the heart

Respect the logic of the mind

Trust thy emotions

Understanding the meaning of the soul

Some stumble upon a path

Worn, that many have tread

Pure in heart, pure in soul

Not only the dead may enter

Whispers of history over flames told

Splendors woven tales of spun gold

Love hidden in every word

Visions shown of one’s fate

Forested majestic mountains

Serene Lakes, raging rivers

Fields of picturesque wildflowers

Are entrances to the Otherworld

The summon images of the spirit world

Command inspiration, tho’ untame

Call the new Druids in the world

Fear it not, RESPECT IT!
