Steady As She Goes

Change unmistakable has begun

Rain washes clean what heat baked

Hurt deep seated consuming

Defiance in difference of opinion

Words with new meanings

A snails pace at first

Yet, steady as she goes

Become the captain grasp the helm

Plot a course that shall last

The era of decisions, no more confusion

A black curtain lifts new thoughts

Steady as she goes

Ahead to an uncharitable locations

Where reasons exist with logic

No direction without faith

An adventure of beliefs awaits

Steady as she goes

The sun crests the horizons

Answers but a breathe away from a lie

Dawns welcome life’s desires

Warming a frozen soul

From a sickness of soul shattering

Infested blacking torment vanishes

Steady as she goes…
