Empty Dreams

Empty Dreams

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Empty Dreams

The untiring silence

Thoughts pilfered of self

Vacant of emotions

Writhing anguish profound inside

Resonating sorrowfulness

Sequester hands of slumber

Endure what life has done

Cruel rain falls

Not to cleanse

Design of obdurate mire

Sludge of hopelessness

Hysterical struggles undaunted

Deeper this mortal body sinks

Pushed unforgivingly away

A foolish soul

Shadows of materialistic greed

Overhung arrogant misery

Envious of others ease

Harrowing childlike amazement

A soul atonement of principles

With dreams of uncertainty
