Aspect of Madness

Aspect of Madness

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Aspect of Madness

By Windstorm Kells ©2009

Wandering the halls a mind poises

Unyielding to others insecurities blight

A soul beaten thrown back into the slammer

Betrayed by corporeal findings of lent

Charlatans consume falsification of fracases

A stoic man watches in guilty delight

Thwarting the demur complexities stammer

Lost in the thoughts of one mans befuddlement

The emotional bank broken, spent

Guarded logic turns to idiocies banter glimmer

Misery a circus of sinister fright

A dismal desert tempest rises

A moons brilliance twisted promises

Hidden reasons theft of inner light

Germinated seeds of summer

A soul weeps pleadingly of torment

Guilty punished with feeble compromises

Madness of reality created on sight

Illogic penetrates as a hammer

Crushing a souls fragile vent

I wonder if we need to be mad to create? Doesn't madness lend the best creative results? Can a sane talented person compete with a mad talented person? The sane talented person might have a head start in being more organised. But if the mad talant can focus sufficiently to finish anything, then I think they will win. By madness I don't just mean raving lunacy, but also extreme mental functions which make someone so difficult to fathom as to be abnormal.
