The Troupe of Ducks

The Troupe of Ducks

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

The Troupe of Ducks

By Windstorm Kells ©2008

Clouds overcast

Trees vacant of greenery

A magickal dreamland

In childhood once thought

Secrets revealed

Understanding met

Truths learned

In all of nature’s gifts

A troupe of ducks

Chest puffed

A waddled march

Follow the leader

A younger one

Lagging behind

Sees a dilemma

A light comes on

It stops to reflect

Unwilling to truckle

Seeing a short cut

Cutting off the troupe

Quak! Quak!

Throwing a bit of chaos

Into nature’s harmony

A chuckling visitor

A great laugh
