The Explorer

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Days of the past

Time before time

An end of a beginning

Man seeks himself

Clan versus clan

Chaos before order

Men in metal

Hubris drives the stake

Herbs in place of pills

To live is the journey

Familiarity of man’s fate

Taken too soon, then too late

Lives lived, explored, plundered

Behold…

A seeker of happiness

Death is unjustly

Suffocating

As the blade

Pierces with tender

Unbiased caress
