A Time of Thought

A Time of Thought

By Windstorm Kells ©2008

Wretched crow

Angrily bolsters arguing

A simmering pot

Of intolerance

Dogs walk their masters

The breeze plays lightly

As children play

An intoxicating autumn day

The sun defies winter

Raining warmth

Upon radiant colors

Showing that fall’s arrived

Transition from life to death

From awake to asleep

Yet so much beauty

Grows from that of slumber

Voices invade my thoughts

A pair meandering

Lost in there own thought

Fading I’m lost in mine

Time has moved on

Pack… click, click

Inhale let tension evade

Exhale things are simpler

This is different from the things I usually read from you but I liked it a lot. It was cold and dark but light and hopeful. The images were cut apart with the short stanzas but it suited the poem overall. Great write!

Beautiful!

I don't have the words to describe this ... beautiful is the only thing i can come up with now...

This is quite amazing actually, the way you built up your stanza's, the words you used ....
The general feeling when reading this ...

Just beautiful!

Great poem! The way you depict the transition of the seasons is very unique. And you offer a great amount of metaphors and imagery to immortalise the true beauty of nature.

Cold seasons are always my favourite, especially because of the wondrous colours flaunted during that time of the year. Apart from Spring, of course, when flowers bloom, and the smell of blossoms is in the air.

Good read! Keep it up!

Very interesting journey you take your reader on- the tone leaves you feeling almost disconnected yet observant of everything that is occuring; I found this lovely and yet strange at the same time. still a very good write.

There are a lot of good lines in this like:

"An Intoxicating autumn day"
"The sun defies winter"

A beautiful poem full of grace and wonder. Great job.

Working through secretive challenges...even disappointments. I find your poem a searching spotlight, seeking a indelible truth.

Nice work...
