Face of the Earth

Face of the Earth

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Face of the Earth

By Windstorm Kells ©2008

Locked

A struggle of agony

Mother’s storm

Clean the slate

Begin anew

Music

Laughter fades to black

Greedy ambitions

Burned alive

Dangers newly created

Terror of mankind

War over land

Millions killed

Vegetation destroyed

Lost forever

Human ignorance

Poor sent foolishly to die

Rich steal to become richer

Hatred is breed

Sorrow all that’s left

Poisons consumes killing millions

Starvation blanketed death

Government cover-ups

Eaten like candy

Impending destruction

Over population breeds death

Machines choke her life

Seething anger

Mother’s frustrated

Free will not so free

A greener hopes live

Open you eyes

Peer into your dreams

Change bellows

On the winds of calamity

A fully aware world

Is but on the horizon

Its closer then you think!

Great title. You certainly hit on a lot of the worlds woes in this poem. Thanks for being a voice of reason.
